David has been the Associate Pastor of Youth and Children at Cedar Street since January of 2018. Having grown up in North Carolina in a Christian home, he learned at an early age that there was a God and that this God wanted to have a relationship with him. At the age of 8, David surrendered his life to Christ and since then has grown in his understanding and continual need for the gospel in his life. After high school, he began to work with students and help them to seek and savor Christ above all things in volunteer and interim staff positions at churches in the Raleigh area. He received a Bachelor's degree from Campbell University in Studio Art and Graphic Design in 2010 and is currently working on his Master's of Arts in Christian Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. David married his beautiful wife, Melanie, in March of 2016. They are both excited to be in Metter and to work with and walk along side the youth and children of Cedar Street as they seek to glorify the name of Christ in all that they do.
